Taking advantage of this pristine outcrop (site) with majestic views of both Mt Ruapehu and Mt Egmont was central to the design of this combined luxury home with auxiliary visitor accommodation. Maximising views from nearly all rooms whilst ensuring separation between home and visitors was achieved by designing a linked but separate wing with its own living area. The orientation and offset layout of the main house ensures expansive views in opposite directions of the two mountains. Thermally efficient to the new standard ensures an even temperature throughout the year.
